LOUISIANA STATE EXHIBIT MUSEUM TO PRESENT
LOUISIANA SOCIETY OF ANIMAL ARTISTS EXHIBIT

Davis Carla Egret

The Friends of Louisiana State Exhibit Museum announces the opening of an extraordinary art exhibit of natural history beauty. The Winter Art show and sale will open on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an artists’ reception. Light refreshments will be served. For the duration of the show, visitors may vote for their favorite artist and several voters will receive a framed giclee from the Society.

The Louisiana Society of Animal Artists exhibit features local artists including Jan Blount, Diane Burr, Carla Davis, Don Edwards, Linda Henry, Ronald Kidwell, John McDonald, Sena H. McWilliams, Melba Miller, Carolyn Pitts, Jeanne Marie Reed, Wayne Roberts, and Deanna Russell.

This year’s show features small-scaled works – so that buyers can group several together and create their own designs.

The show will offer a variety of mixed media and artworks on canvas, and paper in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel. The original artwork truly represents the animal world in a natural environment and will be available for sale.
The Louisiana Society of Animal Artists exhibit will be on display on the west wing gallery until December 28, 2018. The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, between Hearne and Jewella Streets.
