LOUISIANA STATE EXHIBIT MUSEUM TO PRESENT JURIED ART EXHIBIT
SHREVEPORT, LA. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin invites the public to attend the opening of “Moments in Time,” a juried art exhibit of the Creative Art Connection of Bossier Parish. Steve Porter, a mural artist and retired educator with Bossier Parish Community College, will be guest judge. The exhibit will be on display from March 5 to March 24 in the West Wing Gallery. Visitors are invited to view “Moments in Time” during regular museum hours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum will host an opening reception on Sunday, March 5 from 2-4 p.m. The reception is open to the public and Friends of the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum will provide light refreshments.
The Creative Art Connection is a non-profit organization whose purpose it is to stimulate cultural development in the Bossier City community by providing activities and an outlet for the talents of all craftsmen in the field of fine arts. There are forty-one members in the group, mostly located in Bossier parish, who will offer works for sale. Artists participating this year are Theresa Billau, Michelle Burke, Joan Cole, Gretchen Crawford, Trudy Daniel, Judy Horne, Sandra Jamison, Deborah Mullinnix, Kathleen Pate, Beth Roubique, and Karen Woodke.
