Secretary of State Tom Schedler and the Friends of LSEM announce the opening of the Sunlight and Shadow exhibition, the extraordinary artworks of Marilyn Couch, Melanie Parent and Blair Thrall.  The Winter Art show and sale will open on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an artists’ reception.  Light refreshments will be served.

The two participating artists have divergent backgrounds yet similar objectives.  All three artists are inspired by nature and are environmentally conscious.  Together they present artwork that captures the emotional elements of the landscape both past and present.

The Sunlight and Shadow exhibition will be on display in the West Wing Art Gallery until Saturday March 11, 2017, when the museum will host the regional trials for National History Day. The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, between Hearne and Jewella Streets.
