The Story of Louisiana’s Treasures

Come and join us for an in depth tour discovering the gems of the museum’s collection spanning thousands of years.  Does Louisiana come to mind when you think of archaeology?  The State Exhibit Museum houses the most extensive collection of Louisiana’s Native American artifacts.  You can explore two of the most significant archaeological sites, learn about the cultures from a hands on activity, and have a personal discussion with Ms. Kelley, whose family discovered, conserved and donated the dugout canoe.

Please call Cynthia Grogan @  (318) 632-2020 or cgrogan@sos.la.gov to make your reservation.

Groups of 10-25 persons – please.

There is no cost.  Donations are appreciated.

Your Experience will take 30-45 minutes.  Guides will be available Monday – Friday 10 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 4 pm.
