Julie Glass Sculptor: Half Way Between Eunice and Mamou

April 18, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin and the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum announce the opening of an exhibit entitled:  Julie Glass Sculptor:  Half Way Between Eunice and Mamou.   The spring exhibition will run between Sunday, April 18 and May 25, with a reception with the artist on the exhibit’s first day from 2pm-4pm.

Half Way Between Eunice and Mamou is based on the wonderful shapes and textures of Louisiana geography, water and land masses.

A resident of Shreveport, Ms. Glass began work as a  municipal attorney, before feeling a call to create art, starting with simple, folk art style pieces made from objects such as old fence boards and Jello molds.

The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours: Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm. The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, between Hearne and Jewella Streets.

This year, LSEM will be open during the new Spring State Fair on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 12pm– 5pm.
