LOUISIANA STATE EXHIBIT MUSEUM TO PRESENT
HOOVER WATERCOLOR SOCIETY FALL EXHIBIT
SHREVEPORT, La. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin invites the public to an exhibit of the Hoover Watercolor Society at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, October 17 from 2-4 p.m., and the exhibit will be on display from October 17 through November 12. The public is invited to meet the artists and view the exhibit in the West Wing Gallery. Light refreshments will be served.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for local residents and visitors to view the work done by these exceptionally talented artists,” said Ardoin. “This is a perfect example of how the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum enriches our community, providing the perfect venue for the Hoover Watercolor Society to showcase its members’ work, and allows the public to come enjoy their art at no cost.”
The Hoover Watercolor Society was established in 1958 and boasts membership of 58 artists from the Ark-La-Tex region. This year’s Show Chair is Sherri Skrivanos. Together with President Denise Sanders, they have worked hard to bring many wonderful artworks to the exhibit. Many of the watercolors will be for sale.
The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, between Hearne and Jewella streets. Admission is free and tours are available by appointment. All state-mandated COVID safety protocols will be in place and masks are required.
