Paintings From The Inside

SHREVEPORT, La. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin and the Friends of Louisiana State Exhibit Museum invite the public to attend “Paintings From The Inside,” an exhibit by artist Bill Gingles at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. The exhibit will be on display April 24 to May 20 in the West Wing Gallery. Local residents and visitors are invited to meet the artist, view the exhibit and enjoy light refreshments on Sunday, April 24, from 2-4 p.m.
Shreveport native Bill Gingles has been painting for forty-five years. He holds a Master of Arts in Fine Art from Northwestern State University, and is a retired art educator, having taught painting at C. E. Byrd High School for 15 years and drawing at Centenary College for 2 years. Gingles began showing professionally in 1983 in Colorado. Since then he has been represented in domestic and international galleries.
The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, Shreveport, La. 71109, between Hearne and Jewella streets. Admission is free and the public is invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
