LOUISIANA STATE EXHIBIT MUSEUM TO PRESENT
A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE OF NATURE BY DON EDWARDS
SHREVEPORT, La. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin invites the public to attend A Walk on the Wild Side of Nature, an exhibit by renowned naturalist Don Edwards at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. Edwards is a photographer and Louisiana wildlife artist whose work reflects realism in nature. The exhibit will be on display Feb. 17 to March 11 in the West Wing Gallery. Local residents and visitors are invited to meet the artists, view the exhibit and enjoy light refreshments on Thursday, Feb. 17, from 5-7 p.m.
During his 40-year career, Edwards earned honors as Artist of the Year from Louisiana Ducks Unlimited and the Wild Turkey Federation, as well as Artist of the Year for Louisiana Duck and Turkey Stamps. The Governor’s Conservation Achievement Award Program named him as Conservation Communicator of the Year for his efforts in preserving the Tensas hardwood bottomland that is now a national wildlife refuge.
The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, Shreveport, La. 71109, between Hearne and Jewella Avenues. Admission is free and the public is invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
