CREATIVE ART CONNECTION EXHIBIT

“BRIDGING ART AND COMMUNITY”

SHREVEPORT, LA. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin invites the public to attend the opening of Bridging Art and Community, an art exhibit of the Creative Art Connection of Bossier Parish. The Creative Art Connection is a non-profit organization whose purpose it is to stimulate cultural development in the Bossier City community by providing activities and an outlet for the talents of all craftsmen in the field of fine arts. The exhibit will be on display from March 20 to April 14 in the West Wing Gallery with an Opening Reception on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 2-4 pm.  The reception is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.  Local residents and visitors are invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are forty-one members in the group, mostly located in Bossier parish, who will offer works for sale.  The winter show will offer a variety of artwork on canvas and paper in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel.

The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, Shreveport, La. 71109, between Hearne and Jewella streets. Admission is free and tours are available by appointment.  For more information about the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum, go to www.laexhibitmuseum.org or call 318.632.2020.
