LOUISIANA STATE EXHIBIT MUSEUM TO PRESENT PAT SEWELL EXHIBITION
SHREVEPORT, La. — Secretary of State Nancy Landry invites the public to attend the opening of “Fun Visitations,” an exhibit of artwork by Pat Sewell, M.D. of Shreveport on display from Jan. 11 through Feb. 28. The exhibition of oil paintings, graphic works and found object sculpture will open with an artist’s reception in the West Wing Gallery on Thursday, Jan. 11 from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. with light refreshments provided by Friends of LSEM. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Dr. Sewell’s work captures images of wild and domestic creatures in a wide range of media and artistic expressions, and reflects his heritage and upbringing in north Louisiana. He has taken photographs, drawn, painted and created sculptures from his natural surroundings since the 1980s. Several museums in Shreveport, Lake Charles and Gilliam have exhibited his art work.
