LOUISIANA STATE EXHIBIT MUSEUM TO PRESENT 70 PIECE ART EXHIBITION
SHREVEPORT, La. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin is pleased to announce an exhibit of two prominent Shreveport artists, Jim Huckabay and Talbot Hopkins, at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. The exhibit, “Two to Tango,” will be on display in the West Wing Gallery from Sunday, October 9 through Friday, November 4. There will be an artists’ reception on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 2–4 p.m. with light refreshments provided by the Friends of LSEM.
Jim Huckabay was self-taught early in his career, and eventually earned a degree in advertising design.
Huckabay also pursued graduate level studies in painting, design and photography. Talbot Hopkins likewise started drawing and painting early in life. Her work focuses on realism and surrealism, especially in portraiture. Admission is free and tours are available by appointment.
